Our smooth silicone curbs are the perfect middle ground between leather curb straps and curb chains!
They are much more flexible and forgiving, while still engaging the horse with a more comfortable and responsive feel. The uniform beads apply even pressure across multiple pressure points providing soft contact without stiffness or overreaction that can come from chains. Our smooth curbs come with one round clip and one extender. We also offer more link extenders! No tacky chains jingling here :) but there is BLING! Rhinestone separators between beads allow air but don’t come in contact with the horse.
Designed for horses that don’t need as much pressure as a standard chain, but more than a leather curb. The silicone beads absorb pressure and create more push forward of the poll, extending the top line allows the abdominal muscles to contract more efficiently. When this takes place, the bottom of the pelvis comes forward helping to place hind legs up under the body, and the sternum pushes up on the wither making the front feet lighter.
